Outside In exhibition at the Press Hotel, Portland, Me
includint recent cyanotypes, drawings and copper sculptures

The solo exhibition, Outside In, presents two long term projects examining the artists interest in the intersection of the fine and applied arts. The Botanical Rhapsody series includes large scale cyanotypes on mulberry paper with repeating, mirrored floral images based on her drawings of wildflowers growing along an ancient footpath on Kea Island, Greece.
A series of filigree, acid cut coppers, relief sculptures, paying homage to Maine trees, are made from vintage copper removed from the Maine State House dome in the re-roofing project of 2014. the artist was honored to win the Maine State House Copper Reuse Commission with her proposed sculpture, Outside In that now hangs in the Maine State House above the Law and Legislative Library entrance. As part of the commission payment, she was awarded more copper panels to use in future artwork. She consider this copper
a treasure of the State of Maine and has use it for public art project throughout the state.
